Salsacate

“Salsacate”

Salsa and guacamole in one!

Materials

  • 1 large green tomato, chopped
  • 1 small red onion, chopped
  • 1 cup chopped avocado, chopped
  • 1/2 cup cilantro, fresh
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • juice of 1/2 lime
  • jalapeno, to taste (optional)

Instructions

  • Add all ingredients to a food processor.
  • Pulse until all ingredients are combined with small bits, but not completely liquid-y.
  • Chill for 30 minutes before serving to let all of the flavors meld together.

Notes

This is sort of a cross between salsa and guacamole. It can be served with chips or as a condiment / hot sauce  for just about anything!
